You upgrade a cue in 8 Ball Pool by collecting enough pieces of that cue and spending coins at each level. Pieces come from Victory boxes, Legendary boxes, events and the Pool Pass. Focus your pieces on one cue at a time; spreading them across many cues leaves all of them weak.
How upgrades work
- Open the cue in your collection.
- Check the pieces bar. When it is full, the Upgrade button lights up.
- Pay the coin cost to move to the next level. Each level raises one or more stats.
Upgrade priorities
- Pick one main cue for each room you play.
- Prefer cues where the next level raises Aim or Time.
- Legendary cues are worth focusing on if you already own one: they gain the most per level.
Where to get pieces
- Victory boxes from wins.
- Legendary boxes from the shop, events and the Pool Pass.
- Seasonal events and mini-games such as Spin & Win and Scratch & Win.
Common mistakes
- Upgrading a cue you do not use.
- Spending coins on upgrades so you cannot afford room entries.
- Forgetting the cue charge: an uncharged cue cannot be used until recharged.
