The trick shots that actually win games in 8 Ball Pool are bank shots, kick shots, draw (back spin), follow (top spin), stun shots, side-spin cuts and safeties. Each one solves a specific problem on the table. Practise them in offline Practice mode first.
1. Bank shot
Hit the object ball into a cushion so it rebounds into a pocket. Use it when the direct path is blocked. Aim at the point on the cushion halfway between the ball and the pocket’s mirror image.
2. Kick shot
Send the cue ball off a cushion first to reach your ball. This is your escape from snookers and avoids a “no ball hit” foul.
3. Draw shot (back spin)
Set the spin dot low on the cue ball. After contact the cue ball comes back toward you. Use it to stop the cue ball following the object ball into the pocket.
4. Follow shot (top spin)
Spin dot high. The cue ball rolls forward after contact. Good for reaching the next ball further along the same line.
5. Stun shot
No spin, medium power, straight shot: the cue ball stops dead on contact. The most reliable position shot in the game.
6. Side-spin cut
Left or right spin changes the angle the cue ball takes off a cushion. Use small amounts; too much side spin also bends the aim slightly.
7. Safety shot
When you cannot pot, hit your ball softly and leave the cue ball behind other balls or tight on a cushion. A good safety often wins more games than a risky pot.
